The Williams sisters have been a revolutionary force on the WTA tour for over two decades. While they have each achieved incredible success on their own, nothing gives their fans more joy than seeing them playing each other.

While yes, this will be the first time since Wimbledon in 2009 that the two will play each other in a Grand Slam final, but they are also both fighting to make history. Serena is looking to win her 23rd Major, breaking the Open Era record of 22 set by Steffi Graf. Her older sister Venus is looking to become the oldest woman—and the second oldest player—to win a Grand Slam in the Open Era.

Despite what's on the line, Serena has already stated that no matter what happens, there are no losers.

"It's the one time that I really genuinely feel like no matter what happens, I can't lose, she can't lose. It is definitely 100 percent the best-case scenario that I could have ever dreamt of," she said on Thursday.

Of course, the global reaction to this showdown will be enormous. Serena's future hubby Alexis Ohanian already took to Instagram to express his excitement.

Most of all, the weekend schedule is bringing up some serious nostalgia (in case you missed it, Roger Federer will face Rafael Nadal in the men's final).

Lastly, there's this fun fact.

The sisters will do battle (possibly for the last time in a Major final) on Saturday.
