Rafa, is that you?

On Saturday in Melbourne, Kazakhstan's Alexander Bublik qualified for his first Grand Slam by defeating Lee Duck-hee. Perhaps Bublik was motivated by his conversation with Rafael Nadal during a rain delay on Thursday.

Except Nadal was not actually Rafa, as much as it seems like it. Bublik was chatting with Australian comedian Elliot Loney, who has two Nadal impersonations on his YouTube channel that have eclipsed 90 thousand views apiece.

Bublik told Baseline he had not met Loney before making the video. “We didn’t know each other,” the 19-year-old said. “We just accidentally met and started [having] some fun.”

Bublik, who is ranked No. 207, showed that his skills aren’t just limited to interviews.

In Melbourne, when things get serious again on Monday, Bublik will take on No. 16 seed Lucas Pouille.
