Last week, Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian proposed to Serena Williams in Rome, which is where the couple first met. The couple have reportedly been together since last fall, but only one photo of proof existed on Williams' Instagram.

The 33-year-old Ohanian has been less subtle. He attended Williams' New York Fashion Show in September, commended her on-court accomplishments, shared her fun Vogue interview, watched her win Wimbledon and agreed wholeheartedly with the Wall Street Journal.

And take a close look at who is in the center of his Happy New Year post.

In what is turning out to be a very modern digital age fairy tale, Williams announced the engagement on the Reddit forum r/isaidyes, posting a cartoon of Ohanian handing his bride-to-be a huge diamond with the caption "Future Mrs. Kn0thing," a reference to her fiance's Reddit handle "Kn0thing."

Williams then posted this poem detailing how her future husband popped the question, to which he replied with: "And you made me the happiest man on the planet."

I came home/ A little late/ Someone had a bag packed for me/ And a carriage awaited/ Destination: Rome/ To escort me to my very own 'charming'/ Back to where our stars first collided/ And now it was full circle/ At the same table we first met by chance/ This time he made it not by chance/ But by choice/ Down on one knee/ He said 4 words/ And/ r/isaidyes

The 6'4" Ohanian hails from Brooklyn, N.Y., with an Armenian and German background. He's an internet entrepreneur based in San Francisco, and famous among Silicon Valley pundits. He's globally most well-known for Reddit, but has also co-founded Initialized Capital, and has helped launch the travel site Hipmunk and social enterprise Breadpig.

Praises and congratulations for the couple have been coming in from around the web:
