Rafael Nadal is known as the King of Clay across the tennis world and his round of 16 match against Nick Kyrgios during the Rome Masters 1000 showed how he lives up to the name. First, Nadal flaunted his net play by barely reaching a drop shot from the Aussie, and then covered the net beautifully to get to a perfectly executed volley.

In most lesser matches, that alone would be the main highlight. However, this is Nadal and he took it up a notch just a few points later by whipping a running forehand winner that curved in the air before just barely hitting the baseline.

Nadal went on to defeat Kyrgios, 6-7 (3), 6-2, 6-4.
