Indian Wells, also known as the BNP Paribas Open, has taken home the honor of ATP Masters 1000 tournament of the year for the third straight time.

The feat is made all the more impressive after former tournament director Raymond Moore became embroiled in an international scandal after unprovoked sexist comments at last year's event. He has since been replaced with former world No. 2 Tommy Haas for 2017.

The tournament of the year awards are voted on by the ATP players.

Other tournaments that earned awards were Queen's Club for best ATP 500 and Stockholm and Winston-Salem for shared ATP 250 honors.
