Tommy Haas has shared his excitement over the new PlaySight SmartCourt technology.

Haas, a former world No. 2, has not given up on perfecting his own game yet (though he's been sidelined since October 2015), and he tested out PlaySight at Indian Wells, where the German will be the new tournament director of the BNP Paribas Open in 2017.

"I do believe that technology is going to play more and more of a role in tennis," Haas says in the PlaySight video. "You always try to change your approach to training and you’re always trying to raise the bar."

PlaySight provide players with 3D tactical review, serve speed, in-depth shot statistics, stroke analysis, instant video replay, automated line calling and live video streaming. The advanced technology allows players instant access and insight into the inner workings of their games on multiple platforms (the on-court kiosk, website and app).

Haas and the cutting edge technology hope to create a new standard for the sport, and give the next generation of athletes advanced sports video and analytics technology.
