Normally, tennis players are spotlighted by Forbes because of their buckets of cash. However, Simona Halep was interviewed by the business magazine to discuss tennis (of course), her new coach, her goals of winning a Grand Slam, and other interesting topics.

Forbes caught up with the 25-year-old Romanian, who finished the season as No. 4 in the rankings, during the Wuhan Open in China back in September. The interview was kicked off with a question about how her coach Darren Cahill has improved her game.

"I am more aggressive, but not crazy aggressive, more smart aggressive because I cannot stay all the time close to the baseline," Halep said. "I have to go out and back and come in many times."

"I think I improved in myself, my forehand is stronger," Halep added. "We worked on every shot and I think all my game is better now."

After winning three titles in 2016 (Madrid, Montreal and Bucharest), Halep reflected on the previous 12 months.

“I can say that this year was a great year for me, from all the ways," she said. "The first one and most important is in my game, because I improved in my game."

Halep has been ranked as high as No. 2, and was two games from a Grand Slam title at the 2014 French Open (against Maria Sharapova). She hasn't been back on a major podium since.

"Of course, my dream is to win the Grand Slam, but I don’t know if it’s going to happen next year or in the future," Halep said. "But I work for that, the goal is that."
