Roger Federer hasn't played a match since Wimbledon, and yet, he's still appearing in plenty of headlines (see Federer wins ATP Fans' Favorite award and tops Forbes' list for brand value). This week, he donned a traditional Scottish kilt and attempted to play the bagpipes in honor of his exhibition match against Andy Murray.

Don't get too excited yet, the showdown is scheduled for April 10 in Zurich. The traditional Scottish gimmicks are meant to make the new world No. 1 feel welcome in Federer's home country.

Federer and Murray will be competing in "The Match for Africa 3" which benefits the Roger Federer Foundation to help children living in poverty. They haven't faced off since the Cincinnati semifinals in 2015 (when Federer won in straight sets).

While Federer has stepped off the court, Murray has enjoyed a career-best year, winning his third Grand Slam at Wimbledon, his second gold medal in Rio and reaching the No. 1 ranking for the first time on his way to capturing his first Paris ATP Masters title.

Federer himself has already paid respects to the new king.

The exhibition match was originally scheduled for November 22, but was pushed back after Federer ended his season early with back and knee injuries. The 35-year-old's ranking has dropped out of the Top 10 for the first time since 2002 (to No. 16).
