The WTA Finals singles players competed in the Cracker Challenge and now the doubles stars have a challenge of their own. It’s just as big of a throwback to your childhood, a staring contest. No one was exceptionally great at it, except maybe for Hao-Ching Chan and Yung-Jan Chan for staying serious.

Chemistry is critical in doubles, and it’s obvious all of these teams have it.

All four seeded teams have advanced to the semifinals. The weekend match-ups will see Caroline Garcia and Kristina Mladenovic face Bethanie Mattek-Sands and Lucie Safarovia in the top half and Martina Hingis and Sania Mirza take on Ekaterina Makarova and Elena Vesnina in the second semifinal.
