Radwanska lands trick shot in WTA Finals win

The Pole would defeat Garbine Muguruza to improve her record to 1

Agnieszka Radwanska had one of the shots of the day in Singapore. She pulled off a backwards overhead volley that took Garbine Muguruza—and everyone else—by surprise.

Radwanska won the point and the match, 7-6 (1), 6-3, sealing the deal with a sweet backhand winner down-the-line.

With the win, the world No. 3—and defending champion—sits behind Svetlana Kuznetsova in the White Group. Radwanska will face Karolina Pliskova on Friday for a spot in the semifinals (Kuznetsova has already advanced).
