Alla Kudryavtseva is in high spirits despite rupturing her Achilles tendon. The injury took place while she was competing in the ITF Pro Circuit $100,000 in St. Petersburg two weeks ago. The Russian reached the quarterfinals before being forced to retire.

According to the 28-year-old’s Instagram posts, she will be out of action for at least six months. Still, the world No. 140 appears upbeat.
