David Goffin traveled to Shenzhen for the ATP 250 this week, and tried his hand at cooking Chinese food. He went big, assisting with the preparation of peking duck and tofu soup.

"It’s not easy to cook because you have to be really precise with every movement," Goffin said. Luckily the 25-year-old is known for his very precise timing and shot selection on tour.

When all was said and done, and he was busy chowing down, Goffin rated himself a 10 out of 10 in the kitchen. "I did it really well," he said.

The world No. 14 has had a stellar year so far, reaching two major fourth rounds and the French Open quarterfinals (for his best-ever Grand Slam appearance).

He said he is hoping to finish his season strong in Asia, but faltered in his opening round of Shenzhen to Malek Jaziri, 7-6 (2), 3-6, 6-2. Goffin was the No. 2 seed.
