The season's final major event has come and gone, and with that everyone takes away a brand-new batch of memories. The pros make off with lots of dollars and/or lessons learned and/or tweaked bodies, based on the spates of retirements threading throughout the tournament. "Oh sh*t, it's Beyoncé." That was Vania King on looking up at the Jumbotron screen in Arthur Ashe Stadium and seeing the Queen Bey live on the scene.

King succumbed to Serena Williams in the second round in straight sets, with the outcome never in doubt. Whatever was running through Beyowulf's head mid-match was likely more entertaining than the actual on-court affair.
