Roger Federer and Maria Sharapova won't be competed in sanctioned tennis matches anytime soon, but they're doing a deft job of keeping their names front of mind. These well-oiled marketing machines inhabiting human skin are in new clips from Chelsea (Sharapova) and Mercedes-Benz (Federer). I'll let you as the reader decide which is classier.

To his credit, Federer's new quartet of teaser videos with Mercedes paints him in a different (read: funnier) light than he has perhaps ever appeared. Remember how Novak Djokovic amusingly mimicked other stars' mannerisms and appearances? Recall how he caught flak for that? Federer takes on John McEnroe, Andre Agassi, and more in four new clips—and he does it with those players' actual wardrobes at his disposal.

The extrapolated version of the videos has just been revealed, with a cameo by the one-and-only Rod Laver and narration by Bill Macatee.

Timeless legend. F—ing amazing. Man, myth and hair. Exposed. That's Federer, if Benz is to be believed.
