After nearly three years together, recent Wimbledon semifinalist Marin Cilic has parted ways with fellow Croatian Goran Ivanisevic. The world No. 12 announced the news on his Facebook page, saying ''unfortunately, the road we were sharing on this journey is separating and I wish only the best for Goran in the future.''

Steve Johnson ended qualifier Ryan Harrison’s best streak of the season, 6-4, 6-4 to reach the quarterfinals in Washington on Thursday. The American will face John Isner, who beat Marcos Baghdatis, 7-6 (3), 6-2. Also on Thursday, Gael Monfils, Ivo Karlovic, Jack Sock and Alexander Zverev advanced. Sam Querrey moved past 2012 champion Alexandr Dolgopolov.

Unseeded Lauren Davis kept her streak alive, upsetting No. 3 seed Monica Puig, 6-4, 6-2 to reach the quarterfinals.

In Austria, Gerald Melzer beat his older brother Jurgen, 3-6, 6-3, 6-1 to reach the semifinals. After the win, the 26-year-old Austrian said, ''I am happy to be in the semifinals, but I'd rather [have] won against a different opponent today.” Jurgen Melzer was playing in his first ATP tournament after a 10-month injury hiatus, and upset top seed Dominic Thiem in the second round.
