The 2013 Wimbledon tournament will be remembered for the achievement of Andy Murray, who snapped a 77-year British men’s title drought. But that year’s semifinal between Juan Martin del Potro and Novak Djokovic was an unsung classic. Djokovic won it in five scintillating sets, and it was also the last match the Argentine played at the All England Club, due to innumerable injuries and spells of recovery. Finally, on Tuesday, the 27-year-old returned to the hallowed turf, and looked like he’d never left, defeating Stephane Robert 6-1, 7-5, 6-0. We can only hope that his next match, against fourth-seeded Stan Wawrinka, will become another classic.

Rain in London is as common as the English soccer team disappointing in a major tournament. It only took a day-and-a-half for SW19 to be pelted with raindrops, forcing 30 matches to be cancelled or postponed. It results in an extremely busy Day 3, as the the tournament aims to get back on schedule.
