Hi Nick:I’ve been playing tennis for eight years and my service toss continues to be inconsistent, which leaves me prone to double faults. What is the best way to stabilize my toss?

Hi Georgina: There are many ways to improve your toss, but not being able to see your motion makes it a little more difficult. Here are a few things you can try:

1

Put both feet together and do not move them at all during your service motion. This will force you to place the ball slightly in front and a little to the right of your front foot.

2

Do not release the ball until your tossing arm is fully extended.
